I was ten when I sat down in front of my brother's Commodore 128 and typed my first lines of BASIC. I still remember the feeling of watching the screen respond to something I had written myself. That spark never went out.

Around the same time I discovered arcades. I was hooked on those cabinets, and at Street Fighter I was pretty much unbeatable. That kind of competition, built on reflexes, patience and the drive to get better with every round, taught me more than I realised at the time.

These days, when I'm not writing code, you'll find me with a guitar in my hands or playing in the garden with my dogs. I love to travel, and for me every trip goes through the kitchen: tasting the local food is the best way to truly get to know a place.

I'm happily married to Sara and the proud dad of Alice, a wonderful little girl who reminds me every day that curiosity is the most precious thing we have.
